Fascia & Reflexology: Beyond the Basics by James Flaxman

Fascia isn’t just “connective tissue” — it’s a living, body-wide network that transmits force, fluid, and sensation.  In this workshop, we will explore fascia as both a tissue and a system, uncovering how its structure and physiology connect directly to reflexology practice.

Discover:

  • How fascia supports movement, communication, and whole-body integration
  • Why understanding fascia can enhance your touch, assessment, and results
  • Practical techniques to influence the fascial system through reflexology.

We will combine the science of fascia with open discussion and hands-on practice.  Come ready to share your insights, challenge your thinking, and leave with new ideas and skills.  Understand it.  Feel it.  Apply it.

About the Presenter:

James Flaxman has over 30 years of experience as a musculoskeletal therapist.  His training includes a Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy), Diploma of Remedial Massage, Diploma of Soft Tissue Manipulation and Massage as well as multiple certificates in a variety of reflexology techniques.  James has been in private practice since 1991 and continues to maintain and upgrade his manual therapy skills of neuromusculoskeletal techniques and knowledge.  Treatment techniques used are based on clinical evaluation and current clinical evidence.
