Coronavirus (Covid-19)

The Reflexology Association of Australia Limited Board of Directors are monitoring the rapidly changing situation in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Government restrictions being implemented to help protect us all and reduce the spread of the virus.

If you are deliverying Reflexology for health related reasons, you are permitted to practice until otherwise directed. Presently, it is at the discretion of each practitioner to decide whether they wish to practice at this time or refrain due to their own social-distancing requirements.

Victorian practitioners and members of the public - Currently stage 3 restrictions have been implemented in regional Victoria. At this stage, Reflexology for health benefits are permitted to continue. Inner Melbourne are under stage 4 restrictions meaning Reflexology is not allowed to continue except for patients where Reflexology forms part of their healthcare plan either by referral from a GP/Specialist or their treatments are funded as part of their healcare plan through NDIS or similar.  We recommend you keep abreast of changes via the Vic Department of Health website at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-covid-19 and contact the Department whenever clarification is required for your particular situation.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY ⚠️⚠️⚠️
Reflexology for health benefits is now allowed to resume in all states, however, facial Reflexology for beauty purposes is still restricted in some states due to proximity of the face and being classed as a "beauty" service.
At this stage, facial reflexology is able to resume in QLD, VIC and WA.
At this stage, facial reflexology is NOT able to resume in NSW (resumes 1st June), NT (resumes 5th June), SA (possibly 1st June, practitioners to check SA Health website for updates) and TAS (resumes 15th June).

We encourage everyone to stay informed and check regularly with the Australian Department of Health website https://www.health.gov.au and your respective State:

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

Barriers to the conduct and the application of research among complementary and alternative medicine professions: a cross-sectional survey

Hello, we would like to follow up on a survey that was sent to you a few weeks ago, seeking your opinions about the barriers to the conduct and application of research in complementary and alternative medicine professions.

Thank you to the people who have responded to the survey. A gentle reminder for those who have not had a chance to respond the survey yet. Your participation in this research will be strictly for research purposes to help further our understanding of research conduct and evidence-based practice among CAM professions and help inform future interventions in this area.
